Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society urged that it is necessary to bring a comprehensive end to the war on Yemen and resort to a serious political agreement that would maintain Yemen's rights to life and sovereignty.
Al-Wefaq stressed that "the choices of war are destructive and the killing of civilians and targeting of infrastructure and houses of peaceful citizens through airstrikes on different parts of Yemen during the past days only produce more destruction and crises."
The society offered condolences to the people of Yemen for the death of a huge number of civilians in one single day, saying that this is an indication that the humanitarian situation is threatened.
More than 70 citizens were killed on Friday (January 21, 2022) in airstrikes carried out by the Saudi coalition in Yemen, including 3 children, according to the charity Save the Children.
The International Red Cross has confirmed that more than 100 people have been killed and wounded in raids on a prison in Sa'daa in the north of the country.
The Houthis declared that coalition warplanes committed a "crime" in Sa'daa, saying that these raids "cannot subject the people or break their will, but will push them to respond in every possible way."
