Bahrain Mirror: Ahmed Jaafar Ali called his family and told them that he is in the criminal investigation building, a building where torture and violation of detainees' rights are repeated.
Human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh said via her Twitter account "He called him family for seconds and told them the usual expression of all the victims of the notorious criminal investigation building: "I am fine, I am in the justice investigation building". However, the news published on official websites does not bode well. Bahrain's Interior Ministry has announced that he is sentenced to up to 85 years in prison (three life sentences and a 10-year prison sentence)".
"There is real concern about the fate of Ahmed Jaafar, who was extradited by the Serbian government to Bahrain, although he expressed fears that he would be subjected to physical torture and psychological harm," Al-Saegh stressed.
"So that justice is served, all charges should be dropped, and he should be retried and guaranteed all rights necessary to achieve fairness."
