Iran: Agreement with Saudi Arabia Positively Affected Relation with Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani announced that Saudi Arabia and Iran agreed to take executive steps to reopen the diplomatic missions of the two countries. Official relations between the two countries were resumed based on the Beijing agreements. Kanaani noted that the Iranian-Saudi agreement has positively affected relation with Bahrain.
"We now need executive steps in order to reopen the missions after years of closure, and we agreed to exchange delegations within the framework of the executive mechanisms. We will soon witness the exchange of ambassadors," Kanaani told Russia Today.
He added "The bilateral agreements between Iran and Saudi Arabia have witnessed positive reactions at the regional and international levels, and this will positively affect regional cooperation and strengthen economic cooperation in the region."
"The Iranian-Saudi agreement has had a positive impact on the entire region, especially on our relations with Bahrain," he said, adding: "We do not want to pre-empt developments, and we must allow them to proceed on their diplomatic path."
