Bahrain Mirror: Ibrahim Serhan, legal advisor to the "Salam for Democracy and Human Rights" organization, called on political prisoners released under the recent royal pardon not to pay any fine as that is not lawful.
In a post on the formerly Twitter "X" platform on Thursday, April 25, 2024, Serhan addressed those released under the special pardon or alternative penalties, stating, "For those covered by the special pardon, the decree has waived any fines imposed on them," clarifying, "As for those who received a ruling from the punishment enforcement judge to replace the penalty, the decisions were made in accordance with the stipulations."
Serhan directed his message to those released, saying, "Any officer asking you for an amount (of money), do not pay," accompanied by copies of the preamble of the royal pardon based on the laws, and another copy of legal articles confirming that those released are not required to pay any fines.
