Prisoners held in Building 10 at Jaw Central Prison returned their Iftar and Suhoor meals in solidarity with their fellow inmates in Buildings 7 and 9, who protested the transfer of political prisoners to isolation by the prison administration.

The Friday preacher at Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Bahrain's Diraz, west of the capital Manama, Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, urged Bahrainis, as the Month of Ramadan approaches, to "take care of those in need among their relatives and neighbors" and to "be economical in food consumption" and "not to overindulge in food," also emphasizing the "urgent need to resolve the prisoners' issue."
