Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): A bomb blast was reported in the Kuwaiti capital. The bomb struck the Shiite Imam Sadiq Mosque, in Al-Sawabir district, during Friday Prayers. The so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the blast.
At least 11 people are feared dead, according to Twitter posts, while several have been injured.
The Prince of Kuwait, Minister of Interior and Parliament speaker visited the bombing site.
It is to note that the Imam Sadiq Mosque is one of the largest Shia mosques in the Middle Eastern nation and usually gets crowded on Fridays, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.
This bomb took place days after similar attacks on Shiite mosques in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, which were also claimed by ISIS.
