Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): The Bahraini Al-Watan newspaper affiliated to the royal court deleted from its website an article by author Sawsan Al-Shaer in which she insulted Kuwait and accused it of failing to back the GCC issues in favor of what she called the "Iranian Lobby".
The editor-in-chief of the Kuwaiti Al-Rai Al-Aam newspaper Badr Youssef Abdulaziz strongly responded to Al-Shaer, considering that "what she wrote is a result of the shame and embarrassment she is feeling due to the policies adopted by her country."
Al-Rai Al-Aaam newspaper said later on that the Bahraini leadership ordered cutting out Al-Shaer's article from Al-Watan newspaper after it offended Kuwait and its people by malicious allegations and false criticism.
Al-Rai Al-Aam newspaper republished the author's article on its website "so that the matter wouldn't be buried and forgotten," it explained.
Al-Rai Al-Aam also published what the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, posted on his twitter account: "Kuwait is a dear country and its stances towards Bahrain are witnessed by everyone. We do not accept in any case anyone to doubt its leadership."
The newspaper added that the minister's tweet "comes as a response to the doubts raised by the author, Al-Shaer, regarding the Kuwaiti stances towards Bahrain, as Al-Rai Al-Aam's editorial showed many Kuwaiti noble stances towards Bahrain that come in the sense of a brother [nation] standing up for another brother [nation]."
الكويت غالية و عزيزة ، و مواقفها النبيلة مع الجميع يشهد لها القاصي و الداني ، و بالأخص احنا أهل البحرين . و لا نقبل بأي تشكيك في قيادتها
