Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa decided on Tuesday (September 1, 2015) to postpone the decision to lift subsidies on meat until October, which is the second postponement of this sort, since it was decided to be implemented in August.
Bahrain's public budget is facing pressures due to security expenditures and drop in oil prices, as the government spends more than one-third of its budget on security and military apparatuses that have been since 2011 clamping down on popular protests seeking to put an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power.
