Bahrain Mirror: The Tyre Scholars Gathering denounced the appeals court sentence against the Bahraini opposition leader, and Secretary General of al-Wefaq Society, Sheikh Ali Salman. The gathering stated, "We stress that the Bahraini rulers have had enough of the Bahraini people's peaceful demands of their natural rights, which are guaranteed by the law of land and skies."
The Gathering held a meeting at the office of scholar Sheikh Ali Salman in the city of Tyre, south Lebanon. During the meeting, scholars praised the "steadfast, patience, and peaceful Bahraini people, especially for their continuous protest outside the house of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, who always stood with his people's rights, and was never intimidated by an unjust threat."
