Bahrain Mirror-Exclusive: Family of Secretary-General of the Haq Movement for Liberty and Democracy Hassan Mushaima stated that Jaw Prison administration is preventing him from his right to treatment.

The family said that the authorities are preventing Mushaima from his scheduled medical tests to follow up his treatment from lymphoma that he was treating from before entering the prison in March 2011.

Mushaima knows nothing about his health case developments since the last medical tests he underwent last year.

Human rights organizations have previously expressed their deep concern over Mushaima's health and that of other detained figures who are banned from treatment, including prominent human rights activist Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja.
