Al-Shaalan mentioned on her Twitter account that in the store room for at Jaw Prison, there is a list of banned books, including "Mafatih Al-Jinan (Keys to Heavens), Makarem Al-Akhlak (Virtues of Ethics), Al-Sahifa Al-Sajjadiyya (Scripture of Sajjad) and Road to Allah" as well as other educational books.
She wondered: "What is the forbidden aspect in these books that benefit any Muslim regardless if his sect?" indicating that this procedure is one of the measures that violate freedom of belief.
