Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Australian football player and analyst Craig Foster said that he demanded a meeting with FIFA administration on Monday.
He tweeted "The game is trying to leave this young man behind and we can't let it happen."
"Football must step up now! I'll explain case, polity fully to media Monday," he added.
Foster said in a previous tweet that he is "Boarding flight to Zurich. Requested meeting FIFA House Monday. Irrespective, I'll be there 2pm Monday to deliver petitions, brief international media about failure of football to sufficiently intervene in Hakeem Al-Araibi's case," adding that "Politics will cost a player's life".
