Crown Prince: 5 Gov't Entities, 2 Sports Clubs Referred to Prosecution over NAO Violations

Bahrain Mirror: Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that 7 entities were referred to the Public Prosecution over violations mentioned in the National Audit Office (NAO) report for 2019.
He explained during a meeting of the Government Executive Committee which reviewed the 2018-2019 National Audit Office (NAO) report that 2 violations from the Ministry of Information Affairs, 3 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, 1 from Budaiya Cultural Sports Club, 1 from Al-Najma Sports Club, 1 violation from the University of Bahrain, 1 from the Electricity and Water Authority and 1 from the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) were referred to the public prosecution over criminal suspicions.
Salman bin Hamad added that 26 cases will be referred to the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs, for assessment internal investigation committee and 406 cases of procedural violations to be addressed by administrative measures in order to prevent reoccurrence.
