Bahrain Mirror: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Bahrain in the mid of this month to hold bilateral talks with the king, local Al-Bilad newspaper reported.
Relations between Pakistan and Bahrain tensed in late August 2019 over Manama's warm welcoming to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, days after he revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the UAE and Bahrain in late August, days after the end of autonomy in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region between India and Pakistan.
Modi's visit to the UAE and Bahrain led to strong Pakistani annoyance, as a result, Pakistan's Senate Chairman canceled a planned visit to Abu Dhabi, while Pakistani newspapers called for halting security cooperation with Bahrain and the UAE.
Imran Khan is currently leading mediation between Saudi Arabia and Iran to defuse tensions between the two countries.
