Bahrain Mirror: Human rights activist, Maryam Al-Khawaja, daughter of detained human rights defender Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, said that her father chanted slogans against Israel and in support with the Palestinian people while being in Jaw Prison's yard.
She expressed via her Twitter account that her father made this symbolic move which he considered "the least he can do towards the Palestinian cause", as the Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett visited Bahrain. She said that her father had a hoarse voice due the slogans he chanted.
Al-Khawaja expected consequences of his act, which may lead to preventing him from calling his family as a punishment.
Prominent human rights defender Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja is serving a life term sentence over his human rights activism and his support to the protests which erupted in 2011 to demand the halt of discrimination against Shia majority and putting an end to Al Khalifa power.
