Two policemen were wounded when a bomb exploded in Awamiya in eastern Saudi Arabia, where many of the country's Shi'ite Muslim minority live, state news agency SPA reported on Tuesday.

Saudi police shot dead two gunmen after they opened fire on security forces during a raid near a Shiite town, the interior ministry said on Wednesday.

A Saudi newspaper said that the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces (JPSF) carried out military maneuvers under the name of �Bahrain Shield Drill 1� with the participation of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Yemeni president of the revolutionary council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, said that Yemenis stand by the people of Bahrain and support its revolution.
