US Sailor Killed in Non-Hostile Fire in Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: The US Navy announced that a sailor assigned to an anti-mine ship operating in the Gulf has died on Sunday (September 27, 2015) in a non-hostile fire in Bahrain.
The Navy said in a statement on Monday that the sailor was pronounced dead on Sunday. The sailor was assigned to the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Gladiator, which was in port in Bahrain when the shooting happened.
The crew transferred the sailor to a nearby hospital in an attempt to save his life. He; however, died at around 5:20 a.m.
An investigation has been launched. The US 5th Fleet spokesman Cmdr. Kevin Stephens says there are no indications of foul play.
