Authorities Release Dr. Saeed Al-Samahiji after Serving his One-Year Jail Term

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities released on Tuesday (January 3, 2017) Dr. Saeed Al-Samahiji after serving his one-year jail term.
The authorities had arrested Al-Samahiji one year ago over tweets he published on his own Twitter account in which he condemned the execution of prominent Shiite cleric Sheikh Nimr Al-Nimr.
Al-Samahiji had been previously arrested in the case of the medical cadre and over separate case in which he was accused of insulting the king via Twitter.
