Economic Crime Directorate: Checks without Balance Crimes Increase by 23%

Bahrain Mirror: Numbers published by General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security Major Hussein Salman Matar showed that the crime of "checks without balance" increased by 23.5% annually, in comparison with 2015 and 2016.
According to the numbers published by Matar, the Anti-Economic Crimes Directorate recorded 789 cases in 2015 and 975 cases in 2016, which means that the ratio increased by 23.5%, i.e. 186 plus cases.
Matar neither explained the reasons behind the increase in crime ratios nor the Ministry of Interior's plan to combat or control it.
