SALAM: Sentence against Opposition Leader Issued by Unjust Judiciary and Unfair Trial

Bahrain Mirror: SALAM for Democracy and Human Rights said that "the verdict issued against the leader of the opposition, based on the US-Gulf mediation, has been made in an unfair trial and by an non-independent judiciary, but rather by a tool of repression used by the authorities in Bahrain."
On Sunday (November 4th, 2018), the Court of Appeal issued a life sentence against the Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq Society Sheikh Ali Salman, annulling his acquittal ruled by the Major Court. It also sentenced the two former members of parliament representing Al-Wefaq, Sheikh Hassan Sultan and Ali Al-Aswad, to life imprisonment over charges of "communicating with Qatar.
