Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki announced his readiness to contribute to the success of the dialogue initiative in Bahrain within the limits of what the two parties (the government and opposition) see suitable.

Al-Maliki confirmed, during the political meeting organized by Al-Wefaq on the tenth anniversary of the February 14 uprising that genuine dialogue is one based on listening and mutual compromises and recognition of the rights of others.

Al-Maliki saw that the solution in Bahrain passes through two main phases, the first is based on the release of prisoners and retracting the decisions that dissolved societies and then opening space for discussing the constitutional, legal, political and social status of the country.

Al-Wefaq deputy Secretary-General, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi, stressed that the extreme mentality of the regime put a spoke in the wheel, which predicts a gloomy and scary future for Bahrain.

He highlighted that the regime has ignored all the Arab and Western settlements, expressing the readiness of his society to work on building a state of institutions and law.

"The people still insist on proceeding with more steadiness and patience until achieving their demands," he added, indicating that "the people of Bahrain are still politically, economically and socially marginalized...which resulted in a livelihood and political collapse which led Bahrain to become a weak state today."

Al-Daihi criticized the normalization of relations with the Zionist entity, stressing that Palestine will remain the central compass and cause for the Bahraini people who totally reject normalization.

Division is Not Dealt by Fait Accompli

Former Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said the division between the authorities and people in Bahrain cannot be dealt with in an unilateral way and by imposing fait accompli on the other.

He called on the authorities to understand the demands of the people of Bahrain and act according to a far-sighted vision, adding "these demands should be taken into account and the opposition should not be betrayed, as the people have the final say in expressing their aspirations, which is the way to achieve internal unity."

Mansour called on the authorities to build the bridges of dialogue with Al-Wefaq society that represents the majority of Bahraini people, which would contribute to the prosperity of Bahrain in the long term and further affect the reality of Arab people.

Secretary of the People's Assembly, Khaled Al-Aboud, also praised the Bahraini people's stance which rejects normalization.

The people of Bahrain expressed what the peoples of the earth wanted because their revolution proved that it has no absurd objectives, especially after the step of normalization with the occupation and legalizing it, which revealed the credibility of the people and the fairness of their cause.

Mansour Mandour, chief imam at the Egyptian Ministry of Religious Endowments, urged "overcoming all the disputes which only achieve dispersion and vulnerability."

The President of the World People's Committee for Justice and Peace of Jerusalem Father Manuel Muslim said that the situation requires the need for serious dialogue today to achieve justice for the people, not the Zionist entity.

He also wondered: How could the one who extended his hand to the Zionists be faithful to the Arab peoples?
